Sathyamoorthi, CBID Research Project Awardee, Granted New NIH R35 Award


Shyam Sathyamoorthi, Assistant Professor, Department of Medicinal Chemistry, was awarded $373,437 by National Institutes of Health for his project entitled Tethered aza-Wacker Technology for Complex Antibiotic Assembly. This award is part of the Maximizing Investigators' Research Award (MIRA) initiative, designed to increase the efficiency of NIGMS funding by providing investigators with greater stability and flexibility, thereby enhancing scientific productivity and the chances for important breakthroughs and also help distribute funding more widely among the nation's highly talented and promising investigators.
